Retromancer Charity Auction

Hello there folks, if you recall, last year I auctioned the one and only signed and personally dedicated proof copy of Necrophenia to raise money for the Stroke Association. A goodly sum was raised too. So, I have now in my possession the first ever proof copy of Retromancer. I will promise that this will be the only signed copy ever and that it will come with a set of one-off prints of the tarot cards (as these are not printed in the proof copy) the money will go to the Stroke Association as this is Neil's choice of charity, and he is making the radio series of this book. And if I can chuck in any other collectables I will. By the by, I really appreciate the generosity of all concerned, this kind of stuff matters.
Cheers and who'll say a tenner?
All the bestest
Robert

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

This has been moved from the forum to it's own page. At the time of moving the bids had been:

JD and Coke - £100

a Random Me - £110

Captain Fantastic - £125

It's a fantastic collectable and worth much more so do keep those bids coming and help support a worthy cause.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

£140?

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

How long will the bidding go on for?

£150.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

we'll let this run for a few days - probably until the Friday 18th Sept. As I am bidding and will most likely (after I've checked my liquidity) increase this bid then it will not be me who shuts the auction and excepts the final bid! That might be seen as a little biased and unfair :-0

I will get our webmaster, James, to close the bidding at a time of his choosing on the date set and then announce the winner.

If anyone thinks that is drastically wrong and that I shouldn't be bidding then let me know and I will consider withdrawing....

Ian.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

Ian, your bidding is fine by me - so long as I'm able to outbid you! After that I might change my mind...

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

How about a system where if a bid stay unchallenged for 24 hours (or some other time limit) it is the winning bid? That way, whatever happens there can be no question of underhandedness or collusion.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

Good plan Timmeh, might be wiser to say a touch more than 24hrs in case people can't check in over weekends or whatnot.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

Good plan guys. I will let the auction run until this coming Friday (11th September) and then will start the clock, once 48Hrs has passed without a bid then I will close it and announce the winner.....

Ian.

Re: Retromancer Charity Auction

That sounds great to me, I could bid £1 every 48 hours till pay day (or until I save enough) Smiling It could go on for years Evil
